M.Ed.

NC State University

As a student at NC State University, I have gained work experience, earned graduate assistantships, and completed internships and fellowships. Within the 2023-2024 academic year, I was a graduate assistant for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Poole College of Management. In this position I conceptualized and implemented a dynamic curriculum for professional development, addressing critical issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. I became a John M. Belk Impact Fellow for The Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Involvement. I learned about the 58 North Carolina Community Colleges and the policies that position them to serve students in need.

For the 2022-2023 academic year, I was a graduate assistant for the Academic Advising Office within the Poole College of Management. It is within this position that I learned how to develop my holistic approach to academic advising and provide resources to students within the broader NC State community. In the spring of 2023, I was an intern for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion where I supported event planning for affinity-based groups utilizing Yosso’s Cultural Wealth Model.
